A Bramble cocktail made with Limoncello? Why not!

The Bramble is a beloved modern classic, created by Dick Bradsell in the 80's. You know Dick Bradsell, he also came up with the Espresso Martini, so he's a bit of a cocktail genius.
Traditionally calling for gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup, and crème de mûre, this version involves a few delicious substitutions. Limoncello replaces lemon juice perfectly and gives a little extra booze, and crème de cassis is usually easier to come by, plus goes great with the lemon flavouring. If you can't find any then Chambord is a delicious alternative.
The tonic syrup is perfect for adding extra zing and the recipe is included below.

Ingredients
40 ml gin
25 ml limoncello
20 ml crème de cassis
Teaspoon tonic syrup (see below)
Ice cubes
Crushed ice
Cocktail shaker
Rocks glass
Method
Add the gin, limoncello, tonic syrup, and ice cubes to a cocktail tin, and give it all a good hard shake.
Strain into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice.
Slowly pour crème de cassis over the mixture. It will sink to the bottom.
Garnish with edible flowers and enjoy!

Tonic Syrup
This is a great way to use up flat tonic. Simply simmer 1/3 cup white sugar with 2/3 cup tonic water for about ten minutes. Can be stored in the fridge or will last ages in the freezer.
