A Shirley Temple with a little something for the grown ups.
Arguably the cocktail of the summer, this alcoholic take on the Shirley Temple has gone wild online. People are up in arms over the sickly sweet shot of nostalgia, but personally I'm a fan.
It should be served over plenty of ice but why not dress it up? I'd suggest a good quality vodka, and instead of grenadine this is my own pomegranate syrup. It's a drink that's made to be fun and not take itself too seriously, so chuck all three ingredients into your best paper cup and enjoy.
Ingredients
45 ml vodka
15 ml grenadine
Lemon lime soda
Maraschino cherry
Method
Add the vodka and grenadine to a glass filled with ice, stir to combine.
Top with lemon lime soda.
Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
